Frequently asked questions

1. Do I need a visa to travel to Vietnam? If not, how can I get one?

If you are a citizen of the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, or Belarus, you can enter Vietnam visa-free for up to 45 days. Switzerland, Poland, and the Czech Republic have a special exemption from March 1 to December 31, 2025 for organized tours.

If you are from the US, Australia, Canada, or New Zealand, you must obtain a visa before arrival. The E-Visa (valid for up to 90 days) is the easiest option, available online in 3-5 days. Visa on Arrival (VOA) requires a pre-approval letter, or you can apply at a Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate.

To avoid issues, apply early, ensure your passport is valid for 6+ months, and have proof of onward travel. The E-Visa is recommended for convenience. Please contact us for visa assistance.

  • Flexibility: With more time, you can include off-the-beaten-path locations and have a flexible schedule to relax and enjoy spontaneous adventures.
  • Varied Experiences: Enjoy a mix of urban experiences, rural landscapes, beach relaxation, and outdoor activities.
3. Is 3 weeks enough to explore this country in-depth?

Yes, 3 weeks is enough to explore this beautiful country in-depth. This duration allows you to experience a wide range of the country’s diverse regions, from the bustling cities and historical sites to the serene countryside and stunning coastal areas. You can travel from north to south, covering major attractions and hidden gems alike.

4. When is the best time to visit Vietnam?

Due to the terrain and geographical location, the climate in Vietnam is quite diverse from north to south.

When one area is wet, cold, or rainy, another may be sunny and dry. In our experience, the best time to travel to Vietnam is from October to April. More specifically, the best months are from October to November and mid-March to May, when the weather is pleasant, with little rainfall, conducive to a variety of tourist activities.

In July and August it is a bit hot (30-35 degrees), but Ha Long Bay is usually sunny. You'll also have the chance to see the northern mountains adorned with green or yellow rice fields and terraces that stretch as far as the eye can see. Meanwhile, in the south it's the rainy season, but the rains don't last all day, just an hour or two. The remaining days are sunny.

5. Can I choose the travel date?

Yes, you can specify a timeframe with a date that suits you or allows you to acquire the most affordable flight tickets. We will then tailor our program accordingly. Please note that we are a specialized agency in custom travel, and we can certainly design a personalized itinerary based on your availability.

6. What airlines offer flights to Vietnam?

Vietnam is well connected to major international airlines. If you're traveling from the USA, the UK, Canada, or Australia, you can choose from airlines like Vietnam Airlines, Qatar Airways, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and Cathay Pacific, which offer flights to Vietnam’s major cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, often with layovers in major hubs like Doha, Dubai, or Singapore.

From the USA and Canada, popular airlines include ANA, Japan Airlines, Korean Air, and EVA Air, which usually include layovers in cities such as Tokyo, Seoul, or Taipei.

If you’re departing from the UK or Australia, you can also explore direct or one-stop options with British Airways, Qantas, or Malaysia Airlines, which typically stop in Southeast Asian hubs.

For the best deals, visit airline websites directly or use flight comparison tools like Skyscanner, Google Flights, or Kayak.

7. Are insurance policies included in the rate?

No, insurance is not included in our package rates, and clients will need to purchase it separately. These insurance policies are typically affordable and easy to obtain. Many of our clients often choose providers like Allianz Global Assistance, Travel Guard, World Nomads, or AXA Travel Insurance.

Additionally, by paying for your plane ticket or travel invoice with a credit card, you may already have some travel insurance coverage provided by your bank or card issuer. It’s worth checking with them to see what coverage may be included.

8. Do you offer family rooms or connecting rooms?

If you are traveling with young children, we always try to arrange either family rooms or connecting rooms or rooms next to each other. However, not all hotels in our country have family rooms, and these rooms are usually in high demand in July and August, the peak vacation period for families. Therefore, we recommend booking your trip early to ensure the availability of the services according to your preferences.

9. What type of transportation do you offer for our family?

Most of the transfers will be done by car, but we also offer various types of transportation during your family trip, such as cyclo-pousse, bicycles, rowboats, or boats. You can also choose to spend a night on a train, all of which will provide you and your children with diverse experiences.

During your family trip to Vietnam, don't miss the essential destinations:

In the North: Explore Hanoi, the enchanting capital, immerse yourself in the beauty of Ninh Binh's terrestrial Halong Bay, and, most importantly, visit the wonderful Halong Bay with a memorable cruise. If time allows, experience the authenticity of the Northern mountains by embarking on hikes and staying with the locals, creating unforgettable memories for your children.
