Arrival in Hanoi, the thousand-year-old capital of Vietnam. You will be greeted by our English-speaking guide and transferred to your hotel in the city center (room available from 14:00). The day's schedule will be adjusted according to your arrival time. Begin your 'Luxury Vietnam Tour in Two Weeks' with an exploration of the city center to immerse yourself in the historic charm of the capital, founded in 1010:

  • King Ly Thai To Square: Discover the thousand-year-old history of the Vietnamese capital.

Ly Thai To, the founder of the Ly Dynasty (1009–1225), established Hanoi as the new capital in 1010, transferring it from Hoa Lu during his reign.

  • The Lake of the Restored Sword, featuring the Temple of Jade Mountain and Turtle Islet, the heart of Hanoi.
  • The Old Quarter of 36 guild streets: Stroll through craft streets named after the goods once produced and sold there. Stop at Ma May Street to visit a traditional "Tube" house, a hallmark of Hanoian architecture.

A historic district located in the heart of Hanoi, filled with ancient houses, temples, bustling markets, artisan shops, and traditional restaurants. This iconic area stands as a testament to the rich history and culture of the Vietnamese capital.

  • Colonial heritage and French concessions: Enjoy a pedicab ride through the city, passing the Grand Théâtre, Hotel Métropole, State Bank, and Central Post Office.
  • Relax with a body massage session at a local institute.

Overnight at the Sofitel Metropole Hotel.

The Sofitel Metropole is an iconic property that blends French colonial charm with contemporary Vietnamese elements, providing an unmatched luxury experience.

DAY 2 Hanoi - An In-Depth Exploration of the Capital

Discover Hanoi's most remarkable cultural sites and historical monuments:

Built 1,000 years ago, this Confucian temple served as an educational institution for sons of royal lineage and mandarins. It was also the site of competitions for the country's most talented students, with winners becoming scholars and high-ranking officials in Vietnam's feudal dynasties.

  • Ba Dinh Square, home to the former Governor of Indochina's palace, Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum, and his house.
  • The Museum of Ethnography, featuring a collection of 25,000 ancient and contemporary objects that showcase the history of Vietnam's local populations.
  • In the evening, enjoy a performance at the Water Puppet Theater, a distinctive aspect of Vietnamese culture.

The colorful wooden puppets are skillfully manipulated by artists using sticks and bamboo poles underwater. This unique and captivating art form is specific to northern Vietnam.

Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3 Hanoi - Ninh Binh (2-hour drive)

Departure to Ninh Binh – a land of limestone rocks, karst formations, and rice fields flooded by rivers and lakes year-round.

Upon arrival in Ninh Xuan, visit Mount Mua. Climb a white staircase of 486 stone steps to the top of this bell-shaped mountain for panoramic views of the Tam Coc area.

A limestone mountain located near the rivers and karst formations of Tam Coc. Historically, it was renowned for hosting dance performances presented to the kings of the Tran Dynasty (13th-14th century).

Next, transfer to Tam Coc for a relaxing bike ride to explore this beautiful region.

An expansive landscape featuring karst rock formations, rice paddies, and rivers. Boat rides on the Ngo Dong River, winding through these karst formations, offer a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the lush surrounding nature.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat trip on the Ngo Dong River to discover Tam Coc. This winding river flows between rice fields and karst formations, passing through three caves at the foot of the limestone peaks.

DAY 4 Ninh Binh - Halong Bay by Private Cruise

Departure for Halong Bay, Vietnam's most beautiful bay and one of Asia's most magical landscapes.

  • The Cloud Pass (Hải Vân), the highest pass in central Vietnam.

An important pass between Hue and Da Nang, acting as a natural climatic barrier between the north and south of Vietnam. From the top, you can admire the stunning bays of Lang Co and Da Nang, stretching as far as the eye can see.

  • Picturesque roadside cemeteries, known as "Ghost Towns," featuring intricately carved tombs resembling castles in various Asian architectural styles. From a distance, they appear like true luxury cities

Originating in the gigantic Himalayan range, the Mekong flows through five countries upstream of Southeast Asia (China, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos) before flowing into the Pacific Ocean on Vietnamese territory. This river has shaped a vast and fertile delta known as the "Mekong Delta" in the southern part of the country.

Continue to Ben Tre, a large town situated in the heart of the northern branches of the river.
