Day 1 Hanoi - Arrival

Arrive in Hanoi, the thousand-year-old capital located in the heart of northern Vietnam, warmly welcomed by the English-speaking guide from Kampá Tour at the airport. A comfortable transfer takes visitors to the centrally located hotel (rooms available from 2:00 p.m.), with the day's activities tailored to suit the arrival time.
Set out for the first exploration of the city center, marking the start of your 2-week itinerary in Vietnam, soaked in the charm of this ancient capital:

  • King Ly Thai To Square, discovery of the thousand-year-old history of the Vietnamese capital.

Ly Thai To is the founder of the Ly dynasty (1009-1225). It was he who transferred the capital from Hoa Lu to Hanoi in 1010

  • Lake of the Restored Sword with the temple of Mount Jade, the Turtle Islet, in the heart of Hanoi.
  • Explore the Hanoi Old Quarter with 36 corporation streets, where you can stroll through craft streets bearing the name of the goods that were produced and sold there. Don't forget to stop at Ma May Street and visit an old 'Tube' house, a characteristic feature of traditional Hanoi architecture.

DAY 2 HANOI - CITY TOUR

A day dedicated to exploring Hanoi's most remarkable cultural sites and historical monuments:

Built 1000 years ago, this Confucian temple served as an institution where royal offspring and sons of mandarins received their education. It also hosted competitions for the country's most talented students, with the winners attaining the status of scholars and senior officials in Vietnamese feudal dynasties.

  • Visit Ba Dinh Square, the location of the former palace of the Indochina governor, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, and his residence.
  • Explore the Ethnography Museum, home to a vast collection of 25,000 ancient and contemporary artifacts that provide insights into the history of local populations.
  • In the evening, enjoy a water puppet show – a distinctive feature of the Vietnamese culture.

Day 3 HANOI - NINH BINH (HALONG BAY ON LAND)

Departure for Ninh Binh – the land of limestone karsts, sugarloaf mountains, and rice fields flooded by rivers and lakes throughout the year.

Arrival in Ninh Xuan, visit to Mua Mountain. Climb a 486-step white stone staircase to the summit of this bell-shaped mountain, which offers a panoramic view of the Tam Coc region.

A limestone mountain located near the rivers and sugarloaf mountains of Tam Coc. In the past, it was renowned for its dance performances for the kings of the Tran Dynasty (13th-14th century).

Afterward, transfer to Tam Coc for a bike ride and leisurely exploration of this fabulous region.

Explore a vast landscape featuring sugarloaf-shaped rock formations, rice paddies, and rivers. Enjoy boat rides on the Ngo Dong River, winding through the sugarloaf peaks, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the lush surrounding nature.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat excursion on the Ngo Dong River to explore Tam Coc. This meandering river winds through rice paddies, sugarloaf formations, and passes under the three caves at the base of the limestone peaks.

Day 4 NINH BINH - HALONG BAY

Departure for Halong – the most beautiful bay in Vietnam, one of the most magical landscapes in Asia. Boarding upon arrival aboard a traditional junk. Welcome by the crew then departure for a magnificent cruise on the bay. Visit Bai Tu Long (northern part of Halong Bay):

  • Admire the picturesque islands and islets with various shapes (sail, dog, rooster, incense, etc.).
  • Explore the splendid caves of Halong Bay, including Thien Canh Son, housing stalagmites and stalactites dating back thousands of years.
  • Continue the cruise to Cap La, where you can enjoy a kayak ride and swim in the sublime waters of the bay (weather permitting).
  • In the late afternoon, relax on the upper deck of the junk.

Day 5 HALONG- HANOI - FLIGHT TO HOI AN

Begin your day at the break of dawn to relish a one-of-a-kind spectacle: the initial rays of sunlight casting their glow upon the numerous sugarloaf peaks of the bay. Follow this with a tranquil Tai Chi session on the terrace.

Tai Chi, an ancient art focused on deep relaxation, involves performing a series of deliberate, slow, and flowing movements.

Indulge in a delightful lunch aboard the junk before disembarking and heading back to Hanoi for your flight to Hoi An, situated in the central region of Vietnam.

Day 6 HOI AN FULL DAY TOUR

We have a full day in one of Vietnam’s most atmospheric and historical town. Once a major port in the Central coast of Vietnam, it inherits the ancient architecture and beguiling riverside setting that offers tourists a throwback to the past. 

In this day we visit: 

  • Phuc Kien temple: although it’s still referred to as an assembly hall by many, the buildings and grounds have long been used as a temple to worship goddess who protects fishermen and sailors by the descendants of Chinese families in Hoi An. 
  • Phuc Thanh pagoda: the most ancient one of it kind in Hoi An (Since 1454)
  • Japanese bridge: Built in 1593 which connects Chinese and Japanese area in the town. 
  • Old alley and ancient houses which are witnesses of hundred years gone by

Shops where colorful silk and lantern can be found. Tourists might me amazed by the speedy service for tailor made clothes. It is rare chance for you to buy clothes which specially made by your size within just 24 hours.

Afternoon, we explore the fish village of Van Lang and the coconut forest of Bay Mau, surrounded by multiple canals, mangrove forests, coconut palms which are still very authentic. The route crossing fields of rice, maize, lush gardens, friendly hamlets, handicraft factories, and boat building workshops will offer you beautiful stops of photos as well as interesting visits. Arrival at the village of Van Lang, welcome by open and nice boatmen and then departure for a basket-boat trip round river coconut trees. Admire beautiful landscapes, relax then try the techniques of shrimp catching before returning to the hotel.

Today, you have the entire day to explore and enjoy Hoi An at your leisure.

Here are some suggested activities to consider with your friends and family in this picturesque town:

  • Cycling: Take a leisurely bike ride through the serene rural areas of Hoi An, where you can enjoy the beauty of lush green rice fields.
  • Relax on the Beach: Spend a relaxing day at An Bang or Cua Dai Beach. These beaches are renowned for their immaculate beauty, cleanliness, and picturesque landscapes, providing you with an ideal setting to unwind and rejuvenate.
  • Street Food Adventure: Dive into the world of local culinary culture by tasting famous street food at the various street vendors in Hoi An. Discover the harmonious blend of spices in these delicious dishes.

We highly recommend spending a day at An Bang or Cua Dai Beach in Hoi An. These beaches are renowned for their immaculate beauty, cleanliness, and picturesque landscapes, providing you with an ideal setting to unwind and rejuvenate.

Day 8 Ho Chi Minh - Ben Tre - Ho Chi Minh

Depart for the Mekong Delta, a unique region that combines both land and water, situated in the southernmost part of Vietnam.

The Mekong River, originating in the immense Himalayan range, traverses five upstream countries in Southeast Asia (China, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos) before finally flowing into the Pacific Ocean within Vietnamese territory. This river has sculpted a vast and fertile delta in the southern region of the country, famously known as the "Mekong Delta."

Our first destination is Ben Tre, a local village nestled in the heart of the northern branch of the river. Here, we embark on a boat trip to reach Mo Cay, renowned for its coconut-based products. To explore the area, we have the option of a bike ride or a ride on a Xe Loi (motorized cyclo) on this lush green island, which is generously adorned with coconut plantations. This route takes us away from the heavily touristic areas, guiding us along small paths shaded by coconut palms, creating a picturesque landscape. Along the way, we make stops at local farms to observe the production of sweets and coconut brooms.

The highlight of our trip is a serene journey on a small rowing boat through canals lined with water palm trees, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the daily life of the delta. We then proceed to visit the traditional home of Mr. Van, where we savor local specialties crafted by his wife, including coconut jam, honey tea, and pollen, all while engaging in conversations with the local residents. Lunch at a local restaurant by the Cai Cam River (at your own expense).

After our Mekong Delta exploration, we make our way back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 9 Ho Chi Minh city tour - flight to Siem Reap

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast at your hotel, take some time to relax and pack your belongings. Begin your day with a fascinating city tour of Ho Chi Minh City, exploring its vibrant streets, historic landmarks, and local culture. After the tour, you'll be transferred to Tan Son Nhat Airport for your flight to Siem Reap.

Upon arrival at Siem Reap International Airport, you'll be warmly welcomed by your Kampá Tour guide, who will assist with your transfer to the hotel. After checking in, you’ll have some free time to unwind and explore Siem Reap at your own pace.

You might want to visit the local night markets to experience the lively atmosphere and discover unique crafts and souvenirs.

Day 10 Siem Reap - Angkor Temple Discovery

Explore Angkor's main sites by local remok (tuk-tuk) in the morning, starting at Angkor Thom with its iconic South Gate adorned with carved elephants and faces. Continue to the Angkor Wat temples, masterpieces of Khmer art and architecture dedicated to Vishnu, the supreme god of Hinduism. Visit the mesmerizing Bayon Temple, known for its 39 enigmatic towers, and wander the former Royal Palace grounds to uncover hidden temples. In the afternoon, discover the countryside and local life by exploring a nearby market, learning basic Khmer greetings as you interact with locals.

Journey through picturesque villages and rice fields, immersing yourself in the serene rural landscape. End the day with a visit to an evening street market and fairground for a taste of local life.

Day 11 Siem Reap's Petit and Grand circuit

Morning dedicated to discovering small and large temples:

Explore Banteay Srei temple (Citadel of Women), the highly sacred temples of Takeo, Banteay Kdei, and the impressive temple of Ta Prohm—an abandoned Buddhist monastery overgrown with trees and its gigantic snake-like roots (Ta Prohm, famous from the 'Tomb Raider' movie, with jungle-covered ruins).

Enjoy a free afternoon for relaxation in Siem Reap or indulge in the Siem Reap night market.

Day 12 Siem Reap - Flight to Luang Prabang

Start your day with breakfast at your hotel in Siem Reap, then enjoy some free time exploring the local markets. After checking out by noon, transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for your flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, meet your Kampá Tour guide and transfer to your hotel for check-in and a brief rest. In the evening, visit the Royal Palace Museum and Wat Mai Temple, then climb Mount Phousi for panoramic sunset views over the city and the Mekong River.

Conclude your day by participating in a traditional Baci ceremony with a local family before returning to your hotel for the night.

Day 13 Luang Prabang - Pak Ou caves

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel. Afterward, embark on a leisurely cruise upstream along the Mekong River, enjoying the picturesque views of the tranquil countryside. Arrive at the enigmatic Pak Ou Caves, a 16th-century cave monastery filled with thousands of Buddha images, situated within limestone cliffs overlooking the Mekong. On your return journey to Luang Prabang, stop at Ban Muang Keo, a village renowned for its traditional Lao rice whiskey distillation, and visit Ban Xangkhong, the village of the Thai Lue people, known for their arts and crafts. Explore the neighboring village of Ban Xienglek, where traditional Saa paper is produced. Return to Luang Prabang for an evening at leisure and overnight stay.

Day 14 Luang Prabang - Kuang Si Waterfalls

Start your day early with the sacred tradition of morning alms giving, where you can offer alms to monks, a unique experience in Laos. After breakfast at the hotel, head to the stunning Kuang Si Waterfalls, the largest in Luang Prabang.

Enjoy the scenic beauty and take a refreshing dip in the turquoise pools. On your way back, visit the nearby Ban Thapene village for a glimpse of local life. Stop at the Ock Pop Tock Living Craft Center, situated by the Mekong River, known for its excellent views and traditional Lao textiles.

Return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon for some leisure time.

Day 15 Luang Prabang - Flight to Chiang Mai

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then take some time for a last stroll through Luang Prabang or visit any remaining sights. Check out of your hotel and transfer to Luang Prabang International Airport for your flight to Chiang Mai.

Upon arrival in Chiang Mai, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in.

Spend the afternoon exploring Chiang Mai's vibrant old town, visiting landmarks such as Wat Chedi Luang and the Tha Phae Gate. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Khantoke dinner with cultural performances, immersing yourself in Northern Thai cuisine and dance.

Return to your hotel for a restful night in Chiang Mai.

Day 16 CHIANG MAI – DOI INTHANON NATIONAL PARK – CHIANG MAI

In the morning, it takes about 2 hours to reach Thailand's highest peak at Doi Inthanon National Park.

Upon arrival, a 2 to 3-hour jungle walk follows along a narrow mountain trail leading to a hidden waterfall within the lush jungle. Along the way, before reaching the hill tribe village of Pagagayaw Karen, we'll pass through farmlands where coffee plantations, flower farms, and beautiful rice terraces can be observed. You'll have the chance to explore the Karen hill tribe village of Pagagayaw and savor a cup of locally grown coffee. Later, we'll head to Vachiratharn Waterfall, a 70-meter-high, powerful waterfall.

Afterward, you'll have the opportunity to admire the splendid architecture of Nopamaytanidol Chidi and Phra Mahatat Nopaphon Bhumisiri, both constructed to commemorate the 60th anniversary of King Bhumipol and Queen Sirikit.

Finally, we'll return to Chiang Mai for the night.

Day 17 Chiang Mai Elephant Camp

08:00 - 08:30: Begin your day with a warm welcome from your English-speaking guide at your hotel. Then, embark on a car journey, approximately one and a half hours south of Chiang Mai, meandering through hills, forests, and local agricultural areas.

10:30 a.m.: Arrive at the sanctuary. Meet your guide and take a 10-15 minute walk through the jungle to reach the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. Here, don traditional Karen clothing and participate in an introductory lesson about elephant anatomy, history, and behavior.

11:00 a.m.: It's time to meet the elephants. Interact with, feed, and play with these magnificent creatures in their natural environment while learning about their behavior and history. Capture memorable moments with the elephants through photos.

12:00 p.m.: Savor a delicious lunch featuring Thai dishes and fresh fruit.

1:00 p.m.: Engage in crafting herbal balloons, feed the elephants once more, and then embark on a leisurely walk with the elephants to the river. Here, you'll have the opportunity to bathe and brush the elephants.

2:00 p.m.: Join the elephants for a therapeutic mud spa and take a refreshing swim in the river, all while continuing to create lasting memories with these gentle giants.

3:00 p.m.: Bid farewell to the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary and embark on a 1.5-hour drive back to Chiang Mai.

Day 18 Chiang Mai city tour - night train to Bangkok

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a comprehensive city tour of Chiang Mai. Begin with a visit to the famous Wat Phra Singh, known for its stunning Lanna architecture. Continue to Wat Chedi Luang, an ancient temple housing the revered Emerald Buddha.

Afterwards, explore the bustling Warorot Market, where you can find local handicrafts, fresh produce, and unique souvenirs. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Doi Suthep, the mountain temple that offers panoramic views of Chiang Mai and the surrounding countryside.

In the late afternoon, return to your hotel to freshen up and check out. You will then be transferred to the train station to board the night train to Bangkok.

Settle into your sleeper cabin and enjoy the journey through the Thai countryside as you rest overnight on the train.

Day 19 Bangkok city tour

After breakfast, begin exploring Bangkok, one of the busiest capitals in Southeast Asia.

  • Visit the Grand Palace, Thailand's most important landmark, where you will be impressed by the grandeur and majesty of the building and its throne rooms.
  • Admire the mysterious Emerald Buddha, the most revered Buddha image in the country.
  • Visit Wat Pho along the way, the largest and oldest temple in Bangkok, famous for its 45-meter reclining Buddha statue.
  • We will then visit Wat Traimit, which is well-known for the Golden Buddha.
  • Board a long-tail boat to sail along the Chao Phraya River before entering a klong, staying away from the heavily touristy areas. Stop at Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn.

Return to the hotel to rest for the night in Bangkok.

Day 20 Bangkok - Meaklong Market - Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

Depart early to visit the Maeklong market, located on the railway tracks very close to the train terminus. Walk along the rails to explore the vibrant market and witness how quickly the merchants fold up their stalls in preparation for the train, which is scheduled to pass around 8:30 a.m.

Afterwards, head to the small market of Samut Songkhran, where you'll embark on a beautiful canoe ride along the Grand Canal and then through smaller canals, providing an authentic glimpse of rural Asia just outside of Bangkok. The approximately one-hour ride will culminate in the heart of the Damnoen Saduak floating market.

Explore this traditional market, bustling with sellers offering a variety of products, including food, flowers, plants, and even animals.

Return to Bangkok and enjoy some free time to relax.

Day 21 Bangkok - Departure

The ideal length of stay in Laos varies depending on individual preferences. For those with limited time who want to see the main highlights, 3-6 days is reasonable. If you are a Laos enthusiast and wish to explore in depth and experience it in an authentic manner, 2 weeks (10-15 days) is ideal.

The price displayed on our website does not include international flights and is calculated based on 4 people with standard hotels. Our tours are private with custom services, so the price varies depending on the travel period, the selected service category, and especially the number of travelers. 7. Am I exempt from the visa? If not, how can I obtain it?

If you are from the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, or Belarus, you do not need a visa for Vietnam for stays up to 45 days. Switzerland, Poland, and the Czech Republic have a special exemption from March 1 to December 31, 2025, for organized tours.

Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States are NOT visa-exempt and must obtain a visa before arrival. You have three options:

  1. E-Visa (valid for up to 90 days, single or multiple entry) – Apply online through the Vietnamese Immigration website (processing time 3-5 days).
  2. Visa on Arrival (VOA) – Available only for air travelers, requiring a pre-approval letter from an authorized travel agency.

The price provided for this tour does not include international flights and is calculated based on 4 people with standard hotels. This tour is private and includes customized services. The price varies depending on the travel period, the chosen service category, and, most importantly, the number of travelers (the fewer people, the more expensive the trip, and vice versa). We invite you to contact us to obtain a detailed quote for your trip.

10. How can I make payments on-site? Which currencies are accepted?

International cards such as Visa or Mastercard are widely accepted in hotels, shops, and restaurants. However, please note that Vietnamese banks may apply an additional commission of 3% to 4% for this type of payment.

You can also pay in euros or USD at some businesses in major cities (hotels, restaurants, etc.). However, for small expenses, it is more advantageous to have Vietnamese Dong (VND). You can easily exchange currency at banks, jewelry shops, or even at your hotel. You can also withdraw VND from ATMs.

11. When and how is the balance of the trip paid?

As for the balance payment, you can settle it in one of the following ways:

  • In cash upon your arrival. We accept US dollars and Euros (USD/EUR exchange rate calculated on the day of payment). However, we do not accept defaced or excessively old banknotes. We kindly ask you to obtain new bills from your bank to avoid any inconveniences during your trip.

  • By credit card upon your arrival at our office (using our credit card terminal). In this case, there is an additional fee of 3% for our bank if you pay with Visa or Mastercard and 4% for payments with Amex. Payment is made in the local currency.

  • By bank transfer: We request that you complete this transfer no later than 10 days before your departure. This is to ensure that the balance of your trip is credited to our account before the start of your journey

12. What are the payment terms?

To make the deposit payment, you have two options:

  • Bank transfer: Our account details are provided in the travel invoice.
  • Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) through our bank's secure website. This payment method includes insurance as part of the card services (cancellation insurance, medical coverage, repatriation, etc.). However, please note that you will incur additional fees for our bank with this option: 3% extra on the deposit if you pay with Visa or Mastercard, and 4% extra on the deposit if you pay with American Express. Payment is made in the local currency."
