Towards the end of April, it is advisable to bring a light raincoat and/or an umbrella.

    2.1. Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam

    Hanoi - the capital of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam,  located in the heart of the north, on the right bank of the Red River, is a must-see on any trip to Vietnam. It has always been the first point of arrival for almost all travelers. It is a capital of contrasts for travelers: traditional (old neighborhoods, old houses, shops, authentic traffic) and modern: buildings, large roads, etc.

    In April, Hanoi enjoys perfectly pleasant weather, with cooler evenings. Bring a jacket or light clothing to stroll around Sword Lake and the 36-street old guild district (Hanoi's cultural and historical center). Along the lake, stop at the water puppet theater for a traditional Vietnamese show, then stop at a café to sample Hanoi's specialty, egg coffee.

    2.3. The mountains of the North

    Hoi An is one of the places most visited by our guests for its old town full of history, where you can find centuries-old houses and several traditional silk shops, lanterns, etc. A perfect place to walk and discover. The city also attracts visitors with its quiet countryside and beautiful beaches overlooking the eastern sea.

    2.7. Ho Chi Minh City

    As the southern capital and largest city in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City is a must-see on any trip to the south. April marks the end of the dry season in this city. Although this is the time when the city experiences its warmest temperatures, with maximum temperatures around 35°C , it is a good time to visit this southern megacity due to the low levels of humidity caused by the limited rainfall.

    When visiting Ho Chi Minh City in April, you can explore the city's historical sites: the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Saigon, the Saigon Central Post Office and the Reunification Palace or take a trip to the tunnels of Cu Chi. Try to plan your visit in the morning and avoid the afternoon heat by spending time on indoor activities.

    2.10. Nha Trang

    April is the perfect time for you to explore Nha Trang, with its abundant sunshine and minimal rainfall. Beyond the stunning beaches and exciting water activities, you can take advantage of the pleasant weather to visit historical landmarks like Monkey island and Long Son Pagoda.

    Monkey Island (Đảo Khỉ - Hòn Lao) is a unique attraction home to around 1,500 monkeys living in the forest. As you stroll around the island, you can encounter these playful creatures almost anywhere. Most of the monkeys are friendly, but be mindful as they often approach visitors to snatch food. The island also features a circus performance area with shows scheduled at 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, and 3:15 PM, adding a delightful experience to your visit.

    2.11. Phu Quoc, the paradise island 

    Should you spend your vacation in Phu Quoc in April? This paradise island is located in the extreme south of the country, in the Gulf of Thailand. April is the dry season. It does not rain. The sea is very calm. The average temperature ranges between 30-35°C. April is also one of the best months for diving on the island due to the great visibility in the sea and the warm water temperatures.

    Phu Quoc is very suitable for those who make a north-south tour and want to end it with a stay by the sea (from Ho Chi Minh City or the Mekong Delta, a 45-minute flight is enough to get there). With deserted beaches shaded by tall seaside trees, Phu Quoc is known today as an ideal place for those who want to relax on fine sand and feel good.

    The Hạ Long Carnaval is one of the most distinctive, lively and impressive street festivals that Quảng Ninh province has been maintaining and developing for many years.

    Along with the Carnaval street festival, the city of Hạ Long also organizes a series of unique events and festivals, including the opening of the pedestrian street and Bãi Cháy food market, various sports competitions, the Beer and Squid Cake Festival, Lion Dance and Dragon Dance Festival, Zumba Club Festival, and Modern Dance Group Festival.     If you enjoy experiencing traditional festivals in Hanoi, one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year is the Hội Gióng Festival. This traditional festival holds significant educational meaning, fostering patriotism and celebrating the martial arts heritage of the nation.

    It is also an opportunity for people from all over to pay their respects to Thánh Gióng, one of the four immortal deities of Vietnamese belief.

    • Chol Chnam Chmay Festival – An Giang

    The traditional Chôl Chnăm Thmây New Year festival, meaning “Entering the New Year,” also known as “New Year’s Celebration” or “Age-Welcoming Ceremony,” is the most important holiday of the year for the Khmer people in Vietnam’s southern Mekong Delta region. This traditional festival usually lasts three days according to the Chétt (Khmer) calendar, from April 13 to April 15 on the Gregorian calendar, and is celebrated in areas with a significant Khmer population, most notably in An Giang province.

    4. Our suggested intinerary for your trip to Vietnam in April

    Day 4: Hoi An Tour
    Visit Phuc Kien Temple, Japanese Bridge, and ancient houses. Explore the fish village and take a basket-boat ride. Overnight in Hoi An.

    Day 5: Hoi An - Flight to Ho Chi Minh City
    Free time to explore Hoi An, then fly to Ho Chi Minh City.

    Day 6: Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta
    Explore Ben Tre by boat, bike, and visit local farms. Row through canals and enjoy local specialties. Return to Ho Chi Minh City.

    Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City Tour - Departure
    Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels and top city attractions, then transfer to the airport for departure.

    Day 1: Ho Chi Minh - Arrival
    Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) and relax after your flight. Your guide  will ensure a smooth start to your 10-day journey through Vietnam.

    Relax in Hoi An, then fly to Hanoi. Visit key landmarks like King Ly Thai To Square, Hoan Kiem Lake, the Hanoi Old Quarter, and Ma May Street. Overnight in Hanoi.

    Day 6: Hanoi City Tour
    Explore Hanoi with your guide, visiting the Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, and Tran Quoc Pagoda. Enjoy a Vietnamese lunch before returning to your hotel.

    Day 7: Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Hanoi
    Visit Ninh Binh, also known as "Halong Bay on land." Climb Mua Mountain for panoramic views, explore Tam Coc by bike, and enjoy a boat tour through rice paddies and caves before returning to Hanoi.

    Day 8: Hanoi - Halong Bay
    Embark on a Halong Bay cruise, exploring Bai Tu Long Bay’s stunning islands and caves. Participate in a cooking demo, relax on the deck, and enjoy delicious seafood meals onboard.

    Day 9: Halong Bay - Hanoi
    Watch the sunrise over Halong Bay, practice Tai Chi, and enjoy lunch on the boat before returning to Hanoi.

    Day 10: Hanoi - Departure
    Take some final time to explore Hanoi before your airport transfer, marking the end of your 10-day Vietnam journey.
